We offer weekly 1.5 hour group classes, where we combine music with dance and choreography. As the course progresses, we will incorporate specific concepts of staging and choreography.

Introduction to Samba Reggae and Salvador de Bahía, both culturally and musically.
Learning technique and basic exercises with the different samba reggae instruments.
Learning the rhythms of the main Blocos and groups of Salvador de Bahía: Olodum, Didá, Timbalada, Cortejo Afro, among others.
Execution of cuts, entries and exits of the bases. Musical expression exercises through improvisation.
Exploration of choreography and rhythmic variations.

We are a school specialized in Samba Reggae, with roots in the Bahian tradition. Our instructors have learned from the best Mestres and Mestrinhas of Pelourinho and Candeal, and we strive to recreate the energy and spirit of Salvador de Bahia in each session.

What do you need?

You don't need anything more than your enthusiasm and desire to learn. We provide the instruments, drumsticks, clubs, belts and material necessary to get started. However, we recommend that you purchase your own knee pads and straps throughout the course.

Instruments and rhythms

We work with the classic distribution of a Samba Reggae Bloco: Fundos (or Marcación surdos), Dobras (or medio surdos), Caixas, Repeniques (or Repiques) and Timbaus (or Timbales). We will explore the rhythms of the main groups from Salvador de Bahia.

What does the monthly fee include?

Weekly Samba Reggae training sessions lasting 1.5 hours
Extraordinary periodic sessions
Discounts on master classes from Mestres from Brazil when they come to Barcelona
Participation in performances with Bloco Sambara
Participation in batucada events, meetings and festivals (entrance cost, accommodation and travel excluded)

CANCELLATION POLICY

The Association will offer at least 4 classes per month (not counting holidays). If there is any indisposition on the part of the Association to be able to hold a class and the Association does not find an alternative for the same day, a proposal will be made to recover the class as long as that month there are less than 4 sessions after that session is not held. .

Once the fees have been paid, no refunds will be made and classes not taken for reasons attributable to the student cannot be deducted from the payment.

In any case, classes not held due to the student's circumstances can be made up in the 2 weeks following the absence, in a session that has places available.
You must notify Guada in advance to confirm the capacity and plan the day on which it can be recovered.

PAYMENT AND WITHDRAWAL POLICY

The monthly fee is charged, at the latest, in the first session of the month.

The quarterly fee is charged, at the latest, in the first session of the month in a single payment at the beginning of the quarter. It will correspond to 3 consecutive months from the start date.

To unsubscribe you must inform Guada in writing or by e-mail to blocosambarabcn@gmail.com. If you cancel during a month or quarter already paid, the amount paid will not be returned.
